Vivo has officially launched the V70 Series 5G in India. The company introduced the Vivo V70 and Vivo V70 Elite on February 19. These smartphones target the competitive mid-range segment. Moreover, they bring upgraded processors, ZEISS-backed cameras and sleek slim-bezel designs.
The new V70 lineup replaces the earlier Vivo V60 and V60e models. As a result, Vivo aims to strengthen its position in India’s mid-premium 5G smartphone market. Both devices will go on sale from February 26. Customers can purchase them via Vivo’s official website, Flipkart, Amazon and selected offline retail stores across India.
Display and Design
Both the Vivo V70 and V70 Elite feature a 6.59-inch OLED display. In addition, the screen supports 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It also delivers up to 5,000 nits of peak brightness, which improves outdoor visibility.
For security, Vivo includes an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. Notably, it works even with wet or oily fingers. Therefore, users get better convenience and faster unlocking.
Software and Updates
On the software front, Vivo promises long-term support. Specifically, the company will provide four years of Android OS upgrades. Additionally, users will receive six years of security updates.
Both smartphones run OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. Consequently, buyers can expect the latest features along with extended software reliability.
Camera Features
Photography remains a major highlight of the V70 series. To begin with, both phones feature a 50MP ZEISS-powered front camera with autofocus and a 92-degree field of view.
At the rear, Vivo offers a triple-camera setup. This includes a 50MP Sony primary sensor with OIS. Furthermore, users get an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera. The telephoto lens supports 3x optical zoom and OIS, which enhances stability during zoom shots.
Performance and Battery
When it comes to performance, the Vivo V70 Elite runs on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. Meanwhile, the standard Vivo V70 uses the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor.
Both models include LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. As a result, users can expect smooth multitasking and faster data speeds. Additionally, Vivo equips both devices with a large 6,500mAh battery. The phones also support 90W fast charging, ensuring quicker power-ups.
