After much speculation and discussion, BTS member V finally revealed his all-time favorite BTS track — and it’s the superhit 2016 track Save Me! What makes it surprising is that V chose this iconic song over his own solo tracks and other major BTS hits to declare it the winner of the unofficial BTS Song World Cup.
At midnight on September 12, Kim Taehyung hosted an audio-only live webcast, where he kicked off a fun game for fans — a competition to select the Best BTS Song. During the session, he went through BTS’s detailed discography spanning the last 13 years and ultimately selected Save Me as his personal favorite.
V Started a Fun Contest on Weverse
A day before the webcast, V was browsing countless ARMY posts on BTS’s fan communication platform Weverse, when he came across a request asking him to organize a BTS Song World Cup. Inspired by the idea, he decided to bring it to life during a live session. He searched for the right platform and began scrolling through all BTS tracks, appreciating his bandmates’ vocal talents along the way.
From the classic old hits to the latest chartbusters, V carefully picked his favorite tracks, took suggestions from fans, but ultimately followed his own heart. His toughest decisions came when choosing between legendary BTS songs that made them global stars and their recent hits. Interestingly, he even placed BTS group songs above his own solo track Winter Bear, reflecting his sincere love for the group.

V’s Favorite BTS Tracks Revealed
Jungkook’s hit Euphoria performed well in the contest and even beat fan-favorite Young Forever (2016). However, in the end, it was V’s deep connection to Dimple that edged it out. Although Euphoria was eliminated in the quarterfinals, ARMY greatly appreciated V’s honesty and openness.
The grand finale featured a face-off between Save Me and Mikrokosmos (2019), a song widely known for its magical concert performances. Despite Mikrokosmos being the top fan choice, V personally selected Save Me as his number one pick, leaving ARMY thrilled and somewhat surprised by his decision.
