Sony may introduce its upcoming WF-1000XM6 true wireless earbuds with more colour options than expected. According to a new leak, the company plans to refresh its premium TWS launch strategy. This time, Sony could offer additional colours right from launch.
One of the new shades tipped is Sandpink. It may arrive alongside the standard colour variants. Sony has not revealed the final design yet. However, reports suggest the launch could happen soon. The earbuds are also expected to carry a premium price tag.
Leak Hints at More Colours
Tipster Roland Quandt, posting on Bluesky, claims Sony plans to launch the WF-1000XM6 in a third colour called Sandpink. This move would mark a change in Sony’s usual approach.
For comparison, Sony launched the WF-1000XM5 in 2023 with only Black and Platinum Silver colours. The company added the Smoky Pink option later in 2024.
Launch Strategy May Change
Earlier leaks suggested Sony would repeat the same strategy for the WF-1000XM6. In fact, shipping listings only mentioned Black and Silver models. However, the Sandpink reference now hints at a wider colour lineup at launch.
Sony has not clarified how Sandpink will differ from the earlier Smoky Pink finish.
Expected Launch Date and Price
Sony has not confirmed the launch date yet. Still, reports suggest the WF-1000XM6 could debut on February 12.
Pricing will likely remain premium. Leaks point to a price of $329.99 (around ₹30,350) in the US. In Europe, the earbuds may cost €299.99 (around ₹33,100).
