Samsung’s first Galaxy Unpacked event of 2026 will take place on February 25, where the company is expected to launch the new Galaxy S series. Pre-reservations for the upcoming smartphone lineup, widely referred to as the Galaxy S26 series, have already begun in India. The company has now announced that early customers who pre-reserve the devices will receive a free storage upgrade, along with additional benefits such as daily vouchers and a high exchange-value lock-in.
Free storage upgrade offer
Samsung has included this benefit in its Galaxy S26 pre-reserve promotion. Customers who first pre-reserve and later pre-order the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, or Galaxy S26 Ultra will receive an upgrade to the next storage variant at no extra cost.
For example, buyers who choose the 256GB variant may receive the 512GB model for free.
To pre-reserve, customers must pay Rs. 999 to obtain the Galaxy Pre-reserve VIP Pass. This also provides an e-Store voucher worth up to Rs. 2,699 when purchasing the new Galaxy phones. In addition, customers can participate in a draw offering a daily voucher of Rs. 5,000 and a grand voucher of Rs. 50,000.
Samsung is also offering a high exchange value lock-in for old devices. Buyers can trade in their existing smartphone and use its value toward the purchase of the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, or Galaxy S26 Ultra. The final exchange amount will depend on the model, condition, and offer availability in their location.
Offer live in India; possible price increase
Reports suggest the storage upgrade offer is already active in key markets, including India. The move appears aimed at boosting early sales and improving value for customers.
Recent reports also indicate the new Galaxy S series may see a price increase. Rising memory component costs have pushed up manufacturing expenses, making it difficult for Samsung to keep prices unchanged.
