Launch Details
A new leak reveals key details about Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Buds 4 Pro. The company may unveil the earbuds at the February 25 Galaxy Unpacked event.
Earlier rumours also mentioned smart upgrades. Therefore, Samsung appears ready to position the Buds 4 Pro as more than just audio devices. Instead, the brand may market them as intelligent and connected wearables. The Galaxy Buds 4 series could launch alongside the Galaxy S26 lineup.
Head-Gesture Controls
According to X user @antonioig002 (via SammyGuru), new assets appeared in the latest Galaxy Buds app. As a result, reports now suggest support for head-based gestures.
Users may nod to answer calls or confirm “yes” to Bixby. In contrast, shaking the head side-to-side could reject calls or respond “no.” Moreover, these gestures might also work for Bixby prompts. Users could even end conversations without touching their phone.
Additionally, shaking the head may stop notifications from being read aloud. For example, users could dismiss alarms, timers, reminders, and calendar alerts. Samsung may also include an in-app tutorial. This would help users understand and activate the feature quickly.
Camera Remote Feature
Besides gesture controls, Samsung may introduce camera remote support. Users could activate the camera with a pinch-and-hold gesture on the earbud stem. Consequently, they could take photos or start video recording without touching their phone.
This feature would be useful during tripod setups. Furthermore, it could help with group photos. It may also improve usability while using Flex Mode on compatible Galaxy Z devices.
Find My Phone Shortcut
Meanwhile, Samsung may upgrade the charging case with a Find My Phone shortcut. Users could double-press the pairing button while the earbuds remain inside the case. As a result, the connected phone would start ringing. Therefore, finding a misplaced phone may become easier.
Design and Case Details
Finally, leaked charging case renders show a minimal design. The case includes a USB Type-C port and a rear pairing button. However, reports suggest Samsung will not include a built-in speaker in either the Galaxy Buds 4 or the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro.
