Nothing may launch the Nothing Headphone (a) very soon. Recently, the wireless headphones appeared on the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) certification database in Singapore. As a result, the listing confirms both the product name and its model number.
The device will likely act as a cheaper alternative to the Nothing Headphone 1. Previously, Nothing introduced that model in India in July last year. It offered active noise cancellation (ANC) and 40mm dynamic drivers.
IMDA Listing Reveals Key Information
The IMDA certification website lists the Nothing Headphone (a) under model number B186 (spotted via Xpertpick). Therefore, the appearance strongly suggests that the global launch is close.
The certification does not reveal specifications. However, it clearly categorizes the product as wireless Bluetooth headphones. Consequently, the company seems ready to release it internationally.
Nothing has not announced the headphones officially yet. Meanwhile, the company will hold a launch event on March 5 for the Phone 4a series. Hence, Nothing may also introduce the headphones at the same event.
Earlier leaks pointed to a March 12 release in Europe and other markets. Additionally, reports mention four colour options: black, pink, white, and yellow.
Expected Price Details
Reports suggest the Nothing Headphone (a) may cost:
- EUR 159 (around Rs. 17,300) in Europe
- GBP 149 (around Rs. 18,700) in the UK
Therefore, the product would fall into the mid-range headphone category.
Comparison With Nothing Headphone 1
For comparison, Nothing launched the Nothing Headphone 1 at EUR 299 (about Rs. 32,500). In India, the company priced it at Rs. 21,990.
The headphones include:
- 40mm dynamic drivers
- up to 42dB active noise cancellation
Additionally, the model supports Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity. It also works with AAC, SBC, and LDAC audio codecs.
Furthermore, Nothing equipped the Headphone 1 with a 1,040mAh battery. Finally, the company claims up to 80 hours of playback on a single charge when users play AAC audio with ANC turned off.
