Launch Timeline and Positioning
iQOO will launch the iQOO 15 Ultra next month as the premium model in its flagship lineup. The smartphone will sit above the standard iQOO 15 and will focus heavily on gaming performance and control.
Recently, a company executive confirmed a key hardware feature aimed at mobile gamers. The device will include touch-based shoulder triggers with haptic feedback. In addition, iQOO will use independent control chips to reduce input lag.
Gaming Controls Designed for Better Ergonomics
According to a Weibo post shared by iQOO Product Manager Galant V, the iQOO 15 Ultra prioritizes gaming precision and comfort. The brand has placed the shoulder triggers on the left and right edges of the frame.
As a result, users can rest their fingers naturally on the device while gaming. This layout should improve control during long sessions and reduce hand fatigue.
Custom Mapping and Faster Touch Response
Moreover, the shoulder triggers will support custom key mapping. Gamers can assign shortcuts, actions, or combo commands based on personal preferences.
At the same time, iQOO plans to offer a 600Hz touch sampling rate for the shoulder buttons. Because of this high sampling rate, players should experience faster response times and more accurate inputs during fast-paced gameplay.
Haptic Feedback and Anti-Sweat Technology
Additionally, iQOO will integrate haptic feedback into the shoulder triggers. A linear motor will deliver tactile vibrations, which should mimic the feel of physical gaming buttons.
To maintain consistent control, the company will also introduce an anti-sweat algorithm. This system aims to prevent input errors caused by moisture during extended gaming sessions.
Dual Chips Aim to Reduce Input Lag
Furthermore, iQOO will power the shoulder triggers using two independent control chips. Each chip will handle inputs separately.
As a result, the device should deliver lower latency and more reliable input recognition during competitive gaming.
Colours and Performance Benchmarks
The iQOO 15 Ultra will launch in 2077 (black) and 2049 (silver) colour options. Earlier, the product manager also shared AnTuTu benchmark results from internal testing.
According to the data:
- Overall score: 45,18,403
- CPU score: 13,22,001
- GPU score: 15,94,848
However, the company clarified that these results come from internal tests and may differ in retail units.
Official Launch Details
Finally, iQOO has confirmed that the iQOO 15 Ultra will debut in China in February, ahead of the Spring Festival, which begins on January 17.
