Dynamite crosses 2 billion YouTube views

Global superstars BTS have achieved yet another historic milestone. Their smash-hit single ‘Dynamite’ has officially crossed 2 billion views on YouTube, becoming the band’s first music video to reach this record. According to the official update, the video gathered an additional 100 million views in just nine months after hitting 1.9 billion last year, proving that even nearly five years after its release, the track’s popularity and replay value remain unshaken.

Released in August 2020 as BTS’ first full-English track, ‘Dynamite’ marked a turning point in the group’s global journey. The disco-pop anthem made history as the first Korean song to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart. With its retro beats, colorful visuals, and dance-focused choreography, it quickly became one of the most iconic entries in BTS’ discography.

The song continues to dominate streaming platforms as well. Earlier this year, ‘Dynamite’ became the first Korean track to surpass 2 billion streams on Spotify. It also secured the No. 34 spot on Apple Music’s “Most Played Songs of the Decade” list, alongside BTS’ other global hit ‘Butter.’

Fans across the world celebrated the achievement by trending #BTSDynamite on social media. Packed with vibrant sets, positive vibes, and high-energy choreography, the music video still draws in new viewers even today. Its steadily growing views on YouTube stand as proof that BTS’ performance power and production quality only continue to get stronger with time.
