BTS leader RM, whose real name is Kim Namjoon, is celebrating his 31st birthday today, September 12. The global K-pop icon recently expressed heartfelt thanks to his fans and followers on Instagram Stories for their sweet and loving birthday wishes. On this special occasion, his fellow BTS member J-Hope also extended a very special birthday greeting to RM and shared some never-before-seen photos with the fans.

J-Hope’s Heartfelt Birthday Message

On his Instagram Stories, J-Hope shared an unseen picture of RM with the caption, “HB!! @rkive.” He followed it by posting another cute and casual photo of RM, giving fans a rare glimpse of the deep friendship and strong bond between them. J-Hope’s special birthday post went viral among fans and was widely appreciated.

On this special day, RM generously donated 100 million Korean won each to Seoul Asan Medical Center and Korea University Medical Center. According to a report by The Chosun Daily, RM said in a statement, “I decided to donate in the hope that it would bring even a small ray of hope to patients in need. It means a lot to me to be able to contribute, even in a small way, to advancing medical care and promoting respect for life.”

Media reports stated that RM’s donation will be used by these hospitals to support medical treatments and cover surgery costs for economically vulnerable and underprivileged patients.

In BTS’s first official book, J-Hope openly shared how crucial RM’s role was in helping the band during US media interviews, especially when it came to communicating in English. He said, “If it weren’t for RM, we would have been in big trouble (laughs). In my opinion, it would have been very difficult for us to become so popular in the US. RM’s role is extremely important.”
