Apple plans to host a “special Apple experience” event on March 4, according to recent media reports. The Cupertino-based company has not confirmed any launch yet. However, a well-known journalist has revealed details about five products that may debut at the event.
The lineup may include the iPhone 17e, which Apple may position as its next affordable iPhone. The company could also announce updates to the iPad and Mac series. New accessories and software improvements may appear as well.
Event Timeline and Locations
In the latest Power On newsletter, Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman shared fresh information about the showcase. He says the event will run for three days, from March 2 to March 4.
Apple may hold in-person sessions on the final day. These experiences could take place in London, New York, and Shanghai. Attendees may get hands-on time with the newly launched devices.
iPhone 17e: Apple’s Next Affordable iPhone
Apple may introduce at least five new products during its March launch window. The most anticipated device is the iPhone 17e.
Earlier rumors suggested a February debut. Now the company may unveil it in March. The phone may keep a design similar to the previous model. However, Apple could add major upgrades.
Expected features include:
- C1X modem for better connectivity
- MagSafe charging support
These additions may improve performance and charging convenience.
Budget MacBook Could Arrive
Apple may also launch a new low-cost MacBook. Reports suggest the price could stay under $1,000 (around Rs. 90,700). This would make it the most affordable MacBook yet.
To reduce costs, Apple may use the A18 Pro chip. The same processor powers the iPhone 16 Pro series. The laptop may feature a display slightly smaller than 13 inches. It will likely sit below the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models.
Other Possible Mac Announcements
Several other devices may appear, although their launch looks less certain. These include:
- MacBook Air with the M5 chip
- MacBook Pro models with M5 Pro and M5 Max chips
- Second-generation Studio Display
- Mac Studio with M5 Max or M5 Ultra chipset
Apple may introduce some of them later in the year instead.
iPad Updates Expected
Apple may refresh the iPad lineup as well. The company could launch updated versions of the iPad Air and the entry-level iPad.
These updates may focus on performance improvements. Apple may upgrade the processor and make small design refinements. Major design changes are unlikely.
More Announcements Possible
Gurman also suggests Apple could reveal additional hardware and software updates during the event. The company often uses such showcases to preview upcoming platform features.
