Amazfit has officially launched the T-Rex Ultra 2 in global markets. The rugged smartwatch comes with a premium design and advanced fitness features. Moreover, it offers long battery life and enhanced GPS capabilities. The company aims this model at outdoor enthusiasts and adventure lovers.

The wearable features a 1.5-inch AMOLED display protected by sapphire glass. In addition, it carries a 10ATM water-resistance rating. According to Amazfit, users can expect up to 30 days of battery life in standard mode. Meanwhile, GPS tracking can last over 50 hours. The smartwatch also supports 187 sports modes and includes 64GB of internal storage. Furthermore, it enables Bluetooth calling and advanced health monitoring.

Price and Availability

Amazfit has priced the T-Rex Ultra 2 at $549.99 (around Rs. 50,000). Currently, the smartwatch is available in the Black Magma colour option. Buyers can purchase it through Amazfit’s official website and Amazon in select global markets.

Display and Build Quality

The smartwatch sports a 1.5-inch AMOLED display with 480×480 pixel resolution and 322ppi density. Additionally, the screen reaches up to 3,000 nits peak brightness, which ensures clear visibility even in sunlight. To enhance durability, Amazfit protects the display with sapphire glass.

The watch features a 51mm Grade-5 titanium body. As a result, it offers both strength and a premium feel. Moreover, the 10ATM rating allows it to withstand pressure equivalent to 100 meters of static water depth for short durations.

Health and Wellness Tracking

Amazfit equips the watch with the BioTracker 6.0 PPG biometric sensor. Consequently, users can monitor heart rate, blood-oxygen saturation (SpO2), stress levels and skin temperature. The one-tap measurement feature quickly displays all key health metrics.

In addition, the smartwatch supports menstrual tracking, sleep monitoring and detailed sleep scoring. It also includes breathing exercises and altitude alerts for better wellness management. Furthermore, it houses multiple sensors such as an accelerometer, gyroscope, geomagnetic sensor, barometric altimeter, ambient-light sensor and temperature sensor.

Navigation, Connectivity and Storage

The T-Rex Ultra 2 supports dual-band positioning across six satellite systems. Moreover, it uses a circularly polarised GPS antenna for improved accuracy. Users can also access offline maps directly on the watch.

The smartwatch offers 64GB onboard storage for apps, maps and music. In terms of connectivity, it supports Wi-Fi 2.4GHz, Bluetooth 5.2 and BLE. Additionally, users can answer or make calls directly from their wrist.

For outdoor adventures, the Checkpoint Display and reminder alerts allow hikers to mark water points, shelters and altitude targets. Notably, the watch is dive-certified for depths up to 45 meters.

Fitness and Training Features

The smartwatch provides 187 sports modes. Users can create structured training plans via the Zepp app. Furthermore, they can set interval workouts directly on the device.

For runners, Amazfit includes Track Run mode, smart trajectory correction and a virtual pacer. Besides that, the BioCharge energy monitoring feature helps track energy levels throughout the day. The built-in flashlight, which offers four white-light brightness levels, a green-light mode and a Boost mode, adds extra utility during outdoor activities.

Battery Performance

The T-Rex Ultra 2 packs an 870mAh battery. Under normal usage, it can last up to 30 days. However, heavy use reduces the battery life to around 15 days. If users enable the always-on display (AOD), the watch runs for approximately 10 days.

When GPS remains active, the smartwatch delivers up to 50 hours in accurate mode. Meanwhile, power-saving GPS mode extends battery life up to 90 hours.
