Amazfit introduced the Active 3 Premium smartwatch on Thursday. The company designed this compact wearable for beginner runners and hybrid fitness users. It targets road running, strength training, and studio workouts.
The watch features a stainless-steel frame. It also uses a sapphire-protected AMOLED display. The screen reaches up to 3,000 nits brightness. Moreover, Amazfit claims the battery lasts up to 12 days on a single charge.
Additionally, the smartwatch provides structured running plans and advanced performance tracking. It also supports offline maps with turn-by-turn navigation. Therefore, users can rely on it for both fitness and everyday use.
Price and Availability
Amazfit priced the Active 3 Premium at $169.99 (around ₹15,500). Currently, buyers in the US can purchase it through Amazfit’s official website and Amazon. However, the company has not yet announced the India launch.
The smartwatch comes in three colour options: Apex Silver, Atlas Blue, and Aero White.
Display and Core Specifications
The watch sports a 1.32-inch AMOLED display with 466×466 resolution and 353ppi density. It delivers peak brightness up to 3,000 nits. A sapphire glass layer protects the screen.
The device includes 4GB internal storage. Users can store music and offline maps directly on the watch. It works with the Zepp app on Android 7.0 and iOS 14.0 or newer.
Health and Fitness Tracking
Amazfit equips the watch with the BioTracker PPG sensor. The system monitors heart rate, blood oxygen (SpO₂), stress, skin temperature, and sleep around the clock. It also offers the PAI health score and breathing exercises. Additionally, users get menstrual cycle tracking and recovery insights.
The smartwatch supports over 170 sports modes. It automatically detects selected workouts. Meanwhile, built-in running sessions and Zepp Coach adaptive plans help users train better.
It also measures lactate threshold, running power, ground contact time, and posture. Furthermore, smart trajectory correction improves workout accuracy.
Connectivity and Smart Features
The device supports Bluetooth 5.3 and BLE connectivity. It includes a microphone and speaker for Bluetooth calls. In select regions, users can access the Zepp Flow voice assistant.
The watch also connects to six satellite positioning systems. It provides offline maps and automatic rerouting. Moreover, it works with accessories such as heart-rate belts and cycling power meters.
Users can sync fitness data with Strava, TrainingPeaks, Intervals.icu, Google Fit, and Apple Health.
Battery Life and Build
Amazfit packs a 365mAh battery inside the watch. The company claims up to 12 days of typical use. Heavy usage lasts about 7 days. Continuous GPS tracking runs up to 24 hours.
The smartwatch also offers notifications, music control, weather updates, and inactivity alerts. It supports camera control on iOS devices as well.
The 45mm stainless-steel case weighs 38g without the strap. Additionally, it carries a 5ATM water-resistance rating.
