Adobe has expanded its web-based creative tools by introducing a new Photoshop extension for Google Chrome. With this update, users can access essential editing features directly within their browser, without installing any desktop software. This upgrade especially benefits content creators and online professionals who rely on fast and lightweight editing solutions.
Quick and Easy Editing in the Browser
- Any image from the web can be edited instantly in Photoshop Web through right-click or by selecting the Photoshop icon

• Edited images can be quickly downloaded to the device
Adobe says more advanced features will be added to this extension in the future.
As part of a launch offer, users who install the extension before December 8 will get free access to Photoshop Web for 12 months.
Photoshop Becomes More Powerful with AI Features
This rollout follows major AI updates announced at Adobe Max 2025.
The company has introduced intelligent AI assistants for Photoshop, Express, and Firefly.
Adobe also launched Firefly Image Model 5, which brings enhanced realism, higher resolution, and multi-layer prompt-based editing.
For audio and video creators, new tools like Generate Soundtrack and Generate Speech have been introduced, while Firefly Video Editor is currently available with a waitlist.
Additionally, Adobe showcased a preview of Project Moonlight—a new initiative designed to enable AI assistants to collaborate seamlessly across different applications.
