OxygenOS 16 Launch on OnePlus 15
OnePlus is set to launch OxygenOS 16 on October 16, and the company has begun giving a sneak peek of its new design and features. A dedicated landing page for this Android 16-based update showcases what users can expect. It highlights improved connectivity, advanced multitasking, and redesigned apps like Gallery, Notes, and Weather. Additionally, the update will support Google’s Gemini AI models.
Zero-Lag Multitasking on OnePlus Devices
With OxygenOS 16, OnePlus promises a “zero-lag” multitasking experience. According to the microsite, users can scroll Instagram Reels for three hours continuously without any slowdown. The update also supports one hour of gaming multitasking, allowing seamless switching between 120Hz Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) gameplay and phone calls, even while recording the screen.
The OnePlus Pad 3 will also benefit from zero-lag app switching. Users can open up to five apps simultaneously in multi-window and pop-up window layouts. Floating windows can be resized by dragging from the bottom-left corner. Swiping between apps has also become smoother.
